    Tracy Interviews Prem RawatCommunity Function with Prem Rawat
    A buffet dinner in September, 2017 at Ivory’s Rock celebrated the twenty five years since the property became an Events Centre. Comedienne Tracy Harvey providing entertainment. The Mayor and a Councillor from the Scenic Rim Regional Council along with Prem Rawat, Flinders Peak Rural Fire Brigade, neighbours and local business owners enjoyed the relaxed gathering. A talk was given by the Ipswich Koala Protection Society about their care of 150 orphaned and sick koalas a year with 2 ambulances on standby 24/7. They were delighted with the endorsement of a plantation of 1,000 blue gums (koala food) to be planted and maintained at Ivory’s Rock and be used as a food resource for the IKPS to assist in the care and rehabilitation of koalas.

    Mayors for Peace/ Peace Day

    The year before, in September, 2016, a Civic Reception was held at Ivory’s Rock for community and civic leaders. Mayors and Councillors from both Ipswich City Council and the Scenic Rim Regional Council attended. Talks were given on the topic Perspectives on Peace by Prem Rawat, representatives of the University of Queensland Peace Fellowship, Rotary and the Mayor of Ipswich City Council.
