Behind every Amaroo event is a dedicated team of volunteers - and many arrive on site early, ready to roll up their sleeves to help prepare all the elements for the event.
Volunteer contributions are essential in transforming the Ivorys Rock site into a comfortable and welcoming environment, ready to be enjoyed and appreciated by all.
Arriving early is ideal for volunteers who enjoy hands-on activity and can confidently manage the physical side of setup — such as moving furniture, erecting signage, and helping with all the practical tasks.
Early arrival volunteers need to be reasonably fit and self-sufficient while preparations get underway.
Our Early Arrivals Support Team is a fantastic group of volunteers who assist other early helpers, all arriving well before the first guests.
The support team helps early volunteers settle in, offering ensuite cabin accommodation until facilities are fully operational. They clean and set up the camp kitchens for everyone to use, with tea and coffee always on hand and shopping and transport services available to make life easier.
Volunteers often share meals together — sometimes with music in the background — creating a relaxed, welcoming space where people can unwind and connect. It’s a caring, friendly environment where everyone looks out for one another which helps make the early days on site enjoyable and comfortable.
So next time you are planning to come to an Amaroo event, consider adding your application to arrive early!
The extra time and effort make a world of difference — not only for the event itself, but for the spirit of collaboration and joy that make Amaroo Events so special.
