Message from the Board 2024

A big thanks to all of our staff and volunteers, who made 2024 a big success.
The highlight of course was the Amaroo 2024 event, with approximately 2500 attendees from 55 countries. About half of the guests were accommodated on site.
The feedback from the event has been very positive. Of course there are so many areas we can improve on, and it is a challenging project hosting an Amaroo event, but overall the Board was very pleased with the end result.
There are too many people to thank individually, but it was a great team effort. We have now started planning for the next Amaroo event, whenever that may be.
A special thanks to our financial supporters, we have received more in donations this year than ever before. The donations  cover a substantial portion of the operational costs, freeing up Amaroo event income to go towards improving the venue.

What’s on the horizon?  We continue to assess what projects can be done to help fulfil our main goals, which include:
  • Be ready to host major Peace Events and smaller events like trainings
  • Keep Ivorys Rock thriving and pristine
  • Invest in staff and volunteer training and development
  • Be available for commercial hire outside of the Peace Events schedule
  • Support the Peace Education Program and PEAK in our region
One big project we have started assessing, is how to improve the Amphitheatre to make it safer, more easily accessible, and more weather resistant. It is a big project and we are just at the concept stage.
As well as Ivorys Rock Events and Camping, the Ivory’s Rock Foundation continues to financially support the Peace Education Program in our region. We see it as one of the most important initiatives in the world, and we are proud to be a part of it.
We look forward to 2025 with excitement
