With guests soon arriving from over 60 countries Ivory’s Rock have 800 tents to be set up ready for the upcoming Peace Event in early September. The Fassifern Rugby League Club have been contracted to set them up as a fundraiser for the club and they did an impressive job on the weekend of 11th and 12th August, getting 350 tents up on the first day! The new Coleman Fastframe tents make the job quicker and the new Ezyanchor tent pegs is a new system that is fast and secure. Owner of the newly formed company Ezyanchor was delighted to fill Ivory’s Rock large order, which made them his largest customer so far. There’s not many places that put up 800 tents!
Event Manager Begona Trillo welcomed the Rugby League Club members to the site and was thrilled with the results “They set up the whole of the Sandy Creek Campground (which is the main camping area) in one day. This is a record. Their great team work was obvious and we are now proud sponsors of the club.” The Club members returned the following weekend and set up the Deluxe Campground in record time once again!
Ivory’s Rock management have focussed on contracting local people and businesses to help with the upcoming large Peace Event with an expected 3,500 guests arriving for the 5 days from 10th to 15th September. New cleaning company Sparkle from Ipswich will be doing the cleaning this year and the Ipswich Laundry Service will be laundering bedding for accommodation. Nicholas Conroy, a neighbour, who runs SS Security will be contracted again to keep an eye on the safety of guests following his company’s great service last year. The Lions Club will once again manage parking and the Flinders Peak Fire Emergency Services will welcome guests, helping to take their luggage to their accommodation tents or cabins, earning fundraising dollars for both organisations.
