Hats off to the volunteers! whose enthusiasm and commitment makes so much possible.
The safety and comfort of volunteers is our priority. From gaining access to the site to finding tools or the right person, the processes have been streamlined to make it easy and enjoyable.
Volunteers are welcome to stay in the Jacaranda Campground, in airconditioned cabins or you can utilise the powered sites and bring your own tent or caravan.
Jacaranda is the main hub for volunteers. Aside from an all-day tea & coffee station, there is a fully equipped kitchen where you can store groceries and prepare meals. The Farm is open over several days of the week; access to fresh organic produce is a bonus!
The Jacaranda dining room is equipped with a TV monitor and is often used to watch Livestreams events.
If you would like to book accommodation contact Bill Farquar @ Volunteering using the
Contact form. He has replaced Bruce Parmentier as Volunteer Accommodation Host.
A very special and huge Thank You goes out to Bruce!
Bruce has spent many months staying on site as the Volunteer and Project Coordinator. In addition to managing volunteer accommodation and safety and being a wonderful host, Bruce was also involved in many physical aspects of maintaining Ivory's Rock, including building improvements and clearing walking trails. We wish Bruce all the best on his New Zealand sailing adventures.
Volunteers play a huge role in the year-round operation & maintenance of Ivory’s Rock, keeping facilities ready for Amaroo Events and more.
Each venue has a main Caretaker, with an assistant Caretaker and team. The venues are divided into smaller sections or individual tasks to make it more manageable. Maintenance issues are reported to the Facilities Manager.
