2025 was another big year for the Foundation, highlighted by the Amaroo 2025 event which many of the guests expressed as being “the best event ever!”
Thank you to all of the event team for a great job. Also a big thank you to staff and volunteers who work hard to maintain and grow our wonderful Ivorys Rock facility. There are too many people to thank individually, but it was a great team effort.
The maintenance alone is a huge undertaking, with 1570 Acres to look after, and a lot of buildings and infrastructure. We manage it with very few staff and volunteers.
Some major improvements we made this year included:
- Completely replacing the roof on the dome in the Pavilion.
- A new mobile phone tower on site (at this stage only Optus but able to accept other carriers on the same tower in the future.)
A special acknowledgment to our
financial supporters, who cover most of the significant maintenance costs for Ivorys Rock. It was another impressive year for contributions, and it is inspiring to see the passion that people from all over the world have for this project.
We continue to prepare for a possible Amaroo event in 2026. Work in progress includes improving the shade and comfort in the amphitheatre, making access for wheelchairs and other
assisted access easier and safer, and replacing the carpet and other maintenance jobs in the Conference Hall.
